You will join a Digital Center of Excellence; the team that defines how integration is done across the organization. This team owns the standards, patterns, governance, and platforms that delivery teams rely on to build reliable, scalable integrations. You will collaborate with a wide variety of profiles: developers, architects, analysts, project managers, and business stakeholders. Your role is to bring clarity, structure, and pragmatism to complex integration challenges.
You combine architectural thinking with hands-on understanding of Azure integration services. You don’t just design on paper: you support delivery teams during implementation, testing, and incident analysis.
What you’ll do
- You design end-to-end integration solutions for projects involving APIs, asynchronous messaging, and complex system interactions.
- You help define and promote integration standards, patterns, and best practices across the organization.
- You contribute to the evolution and governance of integration platforms such as API gateways, messaging services, and event-driven components.
- You analyze complex functional requirements, break them down, and translate them into concrete integration designs, including flow diagrams, interface definitions, message formats, and mappings.
- You work closely with integration and domain architects to ensure solutions align with the overall enterprise architecture.
- You support integration developers during implementation, providing guidance and detailed input when needed.
- You act as a key contact during the test phase, helping identify scope changes, non-regression impacts, and defects, and working with developers to resolve them.
- You collaborate actively with project leaders, analysts, and business owners, communicating progress and proactively raising risks or improvement opportunities.
- You validate that delivered solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
What are we looking for?
- You have 5–8 years of experience working on integration-heavy projects in complex IT environments.
- You have strong experience designing integration solutions and are familiar with common integration patterns such as orchestration, mapping, security, and gateway-based architectures.
- You have hands-on knowledge of Azure Integration Services, including messaging and event-driven components.
- You are comfortable with REST and JSON, and you understand broader integration concepts such as HTTP, certificates, SOAP/XML, and asynchronous communication.
- You have a solid understanding of data modeling, interface definitions, and data mappings.
- You can read, review, and write clear functional and technical documentation.
- You communicate complex topics clearly and are able to defend architectural choices while building consensus.
- You are comfortable working autonomously, but you thrive in a collaborative, transversal environment.
- You are fluent in technical English, which is the working language. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a strong plus.
- You have experience in large IT organizations with many teams and stakeholders.
- You have a background as a developer, particularly in web services, workflows, or batch processing.
- You have experience with testing activities, including scenario preparation and execution.
- You have worked in the insurance or financial sector.
- You have experience integrating with packaged solutions or external platforms.
