As an ideal candidate, you are an experienced Power BI Architect who is adept at navigating the rapidly evolving technology landscape. Your expertise will be key in guiding the migration to Microsoft Azure Cloud, implementing powerful tools like Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

  • You design the Power BI architecture in the Azure Cloud, establishing workspaces, shared datasets, and management protocols.
  • You implement and configure the Power BI platform, aligning it with the data warehouse and integrating necessary Azure services.
  • You ensure security measures comply with organizational governance frameworks and data classification standards.
  • You monitor performance metrics such as execution time, dataset usage, and report activities.
  • You implement multilingual capabilities, manage report publishing, versioning, and lifecycle.
  • You define and establish standards for dataset modeling and DAX development to enhance optimization.
  • You document the architecture and train IT teams to ensure smooth operation and knowledge transfer.

What are we looking for?

  • You hold a Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • You have 7+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing Power BI platforms in Azure.
  • You have deep expertise with Power BI Desktop & Service, including shared datasets, tabular models, and enterprise governance.
  • You have strong experience with Azure Data Services and cloud-based data warehouses.
  • You are fluent in advanced DAX, Power Query, and SQL, and you know how to optimise performance at scale.
  • You understand data-warehouse modelling concepts such as Kimball/star schemas and how to align semantic models with them.
  • You have hands-on experience with security, RLS, monitoring, publishing, and lifecycle management in Power BI.
  • You are comfortable setting up CI/CD for Power BI (Azure DevOps or GitHub).
  • You communicate clearly and can explain architectural choices to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You are fluent in Dutch or French, with a good passive understanding of the other language.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric as an ETL or integration layer.
  • Familiarity with metadata management tools and data governance frameworks.
  • Experience documenting architectures using tools such as Enterprise Architect.
  • Exposure to SAP BI environments.
