Join a multidisciplinary security and infrastructure team responsible for safeguarding a national-scale IT environment. As a Senior IT Security Specialist, you’ll play a key role in securing network and application layers, managing advanced firewall and load-balancing technologies, and ensuring the integrity and resilience of mission-critical systems.

You combine hands-on technical expertise with a proactive approach to risk management, incident response, and system hardening.

Your Role

  • You ensure the implementation and compliance of IT security policies and standards.
  • You regularly assess and monitor the security posture of complex systems and networks.
  • You manage and optimize enterprise-grade security infrastructure, including Palo Alto firewalls and F5 BIG-IP components.
  • You react effectively to incidents such as intrusions, malware, or coordinated attacks, and prepare response scenarios.
  • You analyze and mitigate vulnerabilities across Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android environments.
  • You design secure solutions for partner, intranet, and internet connectivity.
  • You advise management through risk analyses and technical recommendations.

What are we looking for?

  • 5+ years of professional experience as an IT Security Specialist in enterprise environments.
  • Proven, hands-on experience with:
  • F5 BIG-IP (minimum 10 years), including APM, ASM/AWAF, LTM, GTM, SSL VPN, and Identity Provider integration.
  • Palo Alto Firewalls (5+ years), including configuration, operations, and Panorama management.
  • VPN and Web Proxy solutions (5+ years).
  • In-depth understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL, SNMP, and stateful firewall architectures.

  • Experience with endpoint protection, antivirus systems, and content inspection engines (mail, web).

  • Knowledge of monitoring and log correlation tools such as Splunk, Nessus, and ELK.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

  • Familiarity with encryption algorithms (RSA, DES, AES, etc.) and Wi-Fi security (WPA2, WPA3).

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related technical field.

  • Languages: Dutch, French, and English – active knowledge required (at least two national languages and English at a technical level).
