With origins in an academic and scientific environment, the company specializes in the development and commercialization of innovative, science-backed health ingredients through biotechnology, particularly human milk oligosaccharides. Its mission is to improve human health by delivering high-value ingredients enabled by cutting-edge biotechnological innovation.

In support of its international commercialization strategy, our client is establishing a new position and seeking a Marketing Manager.

The Position

We are looking for a Marketing Manager that will work in close collaboration with the Sales Manager to establish the brand strategy and will take a hands-on approach to campaign setup and execution.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

In general

  • You will set up a strategic, data-driven marketing plan to strengthen the brand presence and to accelerate demand generation across key markets.
  • You will focus on product applications across different industries: Infant Nutrition, Animal and plant health, Food Ingredients and understand these clients
  • You will shape the brand narrative, drive targeted acquisition programs,
  • You manage multi-channel campaigns and build and optimize the lead management workflows. You understand this is a unique opportunity to make a visible impact in a fast-growing biotech scale-up.
  • You combine strong strategic brand thinking with hands-on execution in digital demand generation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of brand development, content-driven lead generation and operational excellence in HubSpot.

More specifically

  • Your refine clients global brand strategy, including positioning, messaging, tone of voice and value propositions across segments (B2B, scientific, partner ecosystems)
  • You build compelling content strategies that communicate the scientific, technological and commercial strengths of our client
  • You lead the creation of high-quality content (whitepapers, case studies, presentations, email nurtures, website copy, video scripts, etc.) in collaboration with internal experts and external agencies;
  • You ensure brand consistency across digital channels, events, collateral and partner communications.
  • You own clients lead generation strategy and deliver integrated, multi-channel campaigns to drive qualified pipeline growth;
  • You plan, build and execute email marketing, landing pages, forms and automation workflows within HubSpot;
  • You implement optimized lead scoring, segmentation, nurturing sequences and CRM workflows to improve lead quality and conversion rates
  • You monitor campaign performance and continuously refine tactics to increase MQLs, SQLs and partner engagement;
  • You steer the Business Development team.
  • You manage HubSpot marketing automation and CRM processes, ensuring clean data, accurate attribution and smooth handoff to commercial teams;
  • You execute A/B testing, performance tracking and optimization of campaigns for maximum reach and ROI;
  • You oversee digital channel presence including website, SEO, paid campaigns, webinars and social media (owned and partner);
  • You collaborate with Sales, R&D and Leadership to align on target audience insights, campaigns and commercial priorities.
  • You work closely with technical and scientific teams to translate complex innovations into clear, compelling value stories;
  • You partner with Sales to support pipeline generation, sales enablement and account-based marketing initiatives;
  • You coordinate with external agencies, designers and content creators to deliver best-in-class marketing outcomes.

The role is based in Ghent with a global scope and requires up to 20% international travel. You will report directly to the CEO and initially manage one direct report in business development

Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • You hold a  bachelor or master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Biotechnology or a related field.
  • You will work closely together with scientists so a good understanding of the scientific aspects is a must and we prefer to see an earlier experience and of scientific background and the willingness to invest in the understanding of the products and the R&D.
  • You have a proven track record of +5 years in marketing within B2B marketing in biotech, life sciences, ingredients of technology sectors.
  • You have a proven experience developing brand strategies and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
  • You have hands-on expertise of HubSpot for marketing automation, CRM, analytics, segmentation and nurturing.
  • You have excellent communication in English. Dutch would be very nice. Any additional language is a plus; Good communication skills in writing and storytelling are a must.
  • You have strong analytical mindset with experience using data & KPI’s to drive decision.
  • You have the ability to manage multiple projects, work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and work cross-functionally.
  • You are creative and have a strong attention to detail.
  • You besides are enthusiast and bring positive energy. You are hands-on, reliable and are a self-starter.
