We’re looking for an Enterprise Architect to define and lead the application architecture across strategic programs and transformation initiatives.
You’ll play a central role in designing an integrated and future-proof application landscape that ensures operational stability, scalability, and business alignment.
This role bridges business strategy and IT execution — shaping target architectures, governance models, and transformation roadmaps for long-term digital impact.
What You’ll Do
- Define and maintain the integrated application architecture supporting strategic programs.
- Lead the identification and structuring of applications, components, and functions supporting core business processes.
- Develop and maintain a product catalog and logical application landscape, showing inter-application relationships.
- Establish and update governance deliverables, ensuring continuity and alignment with enterprise standards.
- Co-create target and intermediate architectures in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
- Support strategic decisions with impact analyses, scenario modelling, and architecture assessments.
- Contribute to business cases (e.g. Buy vs. Build), RFPs, and transformation masterplans.
- Develop transformation roadmaps, mapping dependencies, risks, and priorities.
- Guard architectural quality in collaboration with application architects and delivery teams.
- Coach and guide project teams in applying architecture principles, standards, and reference models.
- Lead by influence — promote architectural governance and cross-team collaboration.
What are we looking for?
- Strong experience in IT architecture governance and application architecture.
- Deep understanding of legacy modernization and migration planning.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or ITABOK.
- Broad technical background — able to engage on .NET, Java, and Agile/Scrum environments.
- Proven ability to communicate complex architectures clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and leadership skills.
- Experience in change management and guiding transformation initiatives.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience in the public sector or social security domain.
- Knowledge of pension systems or Belgian social legislation.
- Previous experience mentoring architects or leading architectural communities.
