As a Data Architect, you’ll play a key role in shaping and implementing a scalable, secure, and future-ready data architecture. You’ll design the backbone that supports data-driven decision-making across the organization — from enterprise platforms to modern data products.
You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and data experts to harmonize systems, improve data quality, and unlock new business opportunities through better architecture and governance.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze and optimize the existing data architecture to identify improvement opportunities.
- Coach and guide technical and data teams in building a modern, business-aligned data landscape.
- Define architecture principles for data integration, MDM, and data lakehouse environments.
- Advise on application and infrastructure projects to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.
- Collaborate with enterprise, information, solution, and security architects to ensure agility and compliance.
- Monitor data platforms and applications to improve configuration, data quality, and user experience.
- Design and document data flows, integrations, and platform interfaces across UI, middleware, and infrastructure layers.
What are we looking for?
- Master’s degree in Engineering, IT, or Business Process Management, or a Bachelor’s degree with substantial business and technical experience.
- Proven experience as a Data Architect (minimum 3–5 years).
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, data governance, data lake/lakehouse architectures, and MDM concepts.
- Solid knowledge of data management frameworks, project management, and Agile (SAFe) frameworks.
- Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written), English and/or French are a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP), automation, and DevOps tooling.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable influencing technical and non-technical audiences.
- Previous exposure to large transformation programs or multi-vendor delivery models.
