We’re looking for an experienced Angular Developer to join the frontend team working on a large-scale application that supports the daily work of home care professionals. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team of analysts, developers, and testers contributing to a socially impactful digital product used across Flanders.
This is a hands-on development role focused on building robust, responsive, and maintainable Angular applications. You’ll work with well-documented functional and technical analyses, participate in agile ceremonies, and collaborate closely with your peers to deliver high-quality code that meets real-world healthcare needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain front-end components using Angular and SCSS, ensuring responsive, accessible, and user-friendly designs.
- Integrate the frontend with REST APIs, handling data efficiently and securely.
- Occasionally contribute to Node.js development (approx. 10% of workload).
- Translate Figma static designs into high-quality, responsive UI implementations.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests (experience with Jest is a plus).
- Collaborate with backend developers, testers, and analysts in a Scrum setup with daily standups and bi-weekly sprint planning sessions.
- Manage code effectively using Git and contribute to versioning, review, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Support the continuous improvement of coding standards and development processes.
What are we looking for?
Must-Have Skills
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience with Angular.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with SCSS and responsive design.
- Minimum 3 years of experience integrating REST APIs.
- Experience writing and maintaining frontend tests.
- Strong knowledge of SQL (experience with SQLite is a strong plus).
- Proficient with Git for source control.
- Fluent in Dutch
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Node.js (TypeORM experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD and Nx monorepos.
