We’re looking for an AI Architect / Technical Lead to design and oversee a secure, scalable, and production-ready Generative AI solution deployed in Microsoft Azure.
You will translate functional needs into a coherent AI architecture; integrating LLMs, RAG pipelines, and vector databases, while ensuring compliance with data governance, security, and the EU AI Act.
As part of a three-person team (Project Manager, Architect, and Engineer), you will be the technical reference point for solution design, integration, and deployment across the Azure ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end architecture for a Generative AI chatbot solution based on LLMs and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
- Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical designs.
- Define data flows and integrations between internal document sources and AI services.
- Oversee vector database implementation (e.g. Pinecone, FAISS, Chroma).
- Ensure robust security, authentication, and authorization (IAM, RBAC, logging).
- Set up CI/CD and MLOps pipelines for deployment, monitoring, and model retraining.
- Define and enforce AI governance and ethical guidelines aligned with EU AI Act standards.
- Support testing and scalability validation to prepare the MVP for extension.
- Collaborate closely with AI Engineers and Project Managers to ensure architectural consistency and business alignment.

- Practical knowledge of vector databases and document embedding techniques.
- Hands-on understanding of security management (authentication, partitioning, audit logs).
- Experience in functional requirements analysis and solution blueprinting.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and MLOps toolchains for AI deployment.
- Fluency in English and either French or Dutch.
