Our client, a prominent player in the utility and energy sector, is seeking an Expert Managing Consultant to support their Strategy division. The role focuses on translating strategic choices into actionable portfolios and operationalizing advanced governance structures within a complex organizational environment.
Your responsibilities:
- Design and operationalize governance frameworks for PfMO, PgMO, and TMO including processes, RACIs, and stage gates.
- Consolidate strategic needs and risks to design portfolio roadmaps aligned with capacity, budget, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor strategic initiatives regarding OKR alignment, benefits realization, and value management.
- Prepare decision-ready analyses and strategic scenarios for the executive committee and portfolio boards.
- Develop Power BI dashboards and data models to enhance portfolio steering and reporting standards.
- Design AS-IS to TO-BE operating models for strategic steering and coordinate with change management for portfolio-level impact.
- Establish data integration flows between Strategy, Finance, HR, and IT domains using Planview or similar PPM tools.
What are we looking for?
- You have 10+ years of experience in strategic transformation, corporate portfolio management, and strategy execution.
- You possess 5+ years of experience in program management, governance, or project delivery.
- You have proven experience establishing STO, TMO, PfMO, or PgMO structures.
- You're experienced with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools such as Planview.
- You have advanced skills in Power BI for data modeling, dashboards, and KPI/OKR structures.
- You possess a Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- You have experience in value and benefits management, capacity modeling, and financial scenario analysis.
- You're an expert in stakeholder management and executive-level communication with strong synthesis skills.
- You're fluent in French OR Dutch (C1) with an excellent command of the second national language and professional proficiency in English.
- You're a proactive, solution-oriented communicator with strong diplomatic and influencing skills.
Nice to Haves
- Experience in the Belgian energy/DSO sector (Smart Grid, Smart Metering, MIG6).
- Knowledge of MoP, MSP, PMI PfMP frameworks, or SAFe Lean Portfolio Management.
- Experience in strategy consulting.
- Experience in organizational design and people change management.
- Background working in highly complex or regulated environments.
