  • Implementing and maintaining processes, governance, systems, and teams that support the effective delivery of projects aligned with organizational strategy.
  • Ensuring adherence to industry best practices and internal/external policies/requirements for activities related to external research opportunities, such as Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS) and Research Collaborations.

 MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Team & Capability Leadership:

  • Lead, manage, and develop the team (resources and budget), providing strategic and tactical direction.
  • Build and maintain effective collaborations with internal and external stakeholders, proactively understanding their needs and priorities to optimize partnerships and delivery.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

External Funding & Research Opportunities:

  • Oversee all activities related to external research (e.g., Investigator Initiated Studies, Research Collaborations) and external funding (grants, sponsorships, donations, etc.).
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a strategic framework, governance, and processes to review and execute opportunities in alignment with industry best practices and organizational strategies.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Experience & Technical Expertise:

  • At least 15 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience in R&D, Medical Affairs, clinical development, or Safety, including:
    • Translating vision into strategy, tactics, and operations with hands-on experience in global, regional, or local operations.
    • Expertise in leading and developing quality management systems and components (including the use of electronic systems in regulated environments).
    • Experience in resource and budget planning/management, with a strong understanding of business strategy and financial performance.
